20 Travel Inspired Movies

It’s Thoughtful Thursday!

As much as I would like to share movie lines or quotes, how about sharing travel inspired movies? Something you can watch for the coming weekend, Yay! I personally watched all of these and I know that someday, one day, I will see it with my own bare eyes, my own lenses. No worries, I won’t spoil anything, I’ll just tell you what place you can see in the said film.

1. The Bucket List (2007)

I know you have your own bucket list and you might want to know theirs. You might consider what’s on their list, it’s simply awesome and heartbreaking. You wouldn’t want to die without doing something great and legendary!

2. When In Rome (2010)

Being an adult is extremely exhausting, you might want to relax and fall in love while checking this chick-flick film shot in New York and Rome!

3. Into the Wild (2007)

There are some point in your life that all you want to do is quit everything and go somewhere far. See how Christopher McCandless did it in North America on his way to Alaska and live in the wilderness. Traveling imparts knowledge you’ll never learn by the books and it sometimes leads you to people you never know existed.

Travel with your family in South Africa! Why not?

5. Batanes (2007)

One of the most beautiful islands in the Philippines, Batanes. 

6. 500 Days of Summer (2009)

One of the best, with so much #feels! Can you imagine yourself on this movie? Shot in the City of Angels, Los Angeles, California.

7. Hit The Road: India (2013)

Watch this film and see Mumbai to Chennai (for 12 days). One day I’ll see these places as a #SoloBackpacker!

8. Lord of the Rings (2001)

Your wonderful journey to Middle Earth, New Zealand!!!

9. Eat.Pray.Love (2010)

Life mishaps will lead you to “find yourself” moment. See how Liz Gilbert did it from New York, Rome, Italy, India and Indonesia. You have to learn how to love and value your yourself after all the pain!

Every traveler dreamed of surviving in an island, but what if it happens when you least expect it?

11. The Beach (2000)

It’s Leonardo DiCaprio exploring the paradise of Thailand, fifteen years ago. See the difference.

12. A Map for Saturday (2007)

After seeing these movies, I felt the urge to buy a plane ticket, explore these gems with my backpack and make more stories. Traveling is fun, it teaches you life lessons face to face. Mostly, you gain experiences from it and honestly, it is the best investment I don’t regret! Cheers!
